Thigh Lift
A thigh lift improves the appearance of the thighs by removing excess skin and fat, resulting in smoother, more contoured upper legs. It is particularly beneficial for those who have experienced significant weight loss or aging that has led to sagging thigh skin. The procedure involves incisions in the groin area, extending downward along the inner thigh if necessary. The surgery can be performed under general anesthesia and generally takes 2 to 4 hours.

Patients may experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort in the thighs post-surgery. Compression garments are recommended to support the new contours and minimize swelling. Walking is encouraged early on, but strenuous activities should be avoided for several weeks.
-
Risks include infection, bleeding, poor wound healing, fluid accumulation, scarring, and changes in skin sensation. Thigh lifts can also result in asymmetry or irregular contours.
-
Pre-surgical tests include blood work, a physical examination, and discussions about the patient’s overall health, including any medications or supplements they are taking.

Temporary pain
Swelling and bruising
Numbness
Scarring along the incision lines is typical, but scars generally fade with time.

Recovery from a thigh lift usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Patients are encouraged to rest but maintain light activity, such as walking, to promote circulation and reduce the risk of complications. Full recovery and final results are seen within several months.
